Bala Shalabhasana is an Asana. It is translated as Baby Grasshopper Pose from Sanskrit. The name of this pose comes from "bala" meanind "child", "shalabha" meaning "locust, grasshopper", and "asana" meaning "posture" or "seat".
Benefits and Cautions
- This pose has the following benefits: strengthens the legs, stretches the outside of the thighs and lower back, creates a sense of balance.
