Prapada Virasana [1] is an Asana. It is translated as Tiptoe Hero Pose from Sanskrit.
The name of this pose comes from "prapada" meaning "tips of toes", "vira" meaning "hero", and "asana" meaning "posture" or "seat".
Benefits
- It opens up the ankles, knees and hips, promotes the blood flow to the joints of the lower body and stretches the quadraceps.
Cautions
- Be careful while doing this pose if you have any ankle, knee or hip injuries.
