Prapada Virasana [1] is an Asana. It is translated as Tiptoe Hero Pose from Sanskrit.

The name of this pose comes from "prapada" meaning "tips of toes", "vira" meaning "hero", and "asana" meaning "posture" or "seat".

  1. It opens up the ankles, knees and hips, promotes the blood flow to the joints of the lower body and stretches the quadraceps.

  • Be careful while doing this pose if you have any ankle, knee or hip injuries.
