The major Coriander contains 0.5–1% volatile compounds in coriander seed essential oil were linalool, γconsisting mainly of delta-terpinenelinalool (55–74%), αalpha-pineneand terpinine. It also contains flavonoids, camphor, decanal geranyl acetate, limonene, geraniol, camphenecoumarins, phthalides and phenolic acids (including caffeic and chlorogenic). Aqueous extract of the roasted seeds contains large amounts of acetylcholine and D-limoneneits precursor choline. <ref name="chemical composition"/>
