तीव्रसंवेगानामासन्नः ॥२१॥

tīvra-saṁvegānām-āsannaḥ ॥21॥

  1. tīvra: high intensity, very intense
  2. saṁvega: urge, conviction, strong will
  3. āsannaḥ: very close, near

Those who have an intense urge attain asamprajnata samadhi very soon.
OR
Samadhi is nearest to those whose desire (for Samhadhi) is intensely strong and those are intensely energetic.

Intensity and rate of practice - The practitioner who moves forward with great level of intensity, at a very fast pace, achieves samadhi faster than the others. Two things are emphasized here; one is pace, the speed at which one is going forward, and second, the conviction, intensity of effort one puts into the practice.
