Paryankasana

Paryankasana[1] is an Asana. It is translated as Bed or Couch Pose from Sanskrit.

The name of this pose comes from "paryanka" meaning "bed" or "couch", and "asana" meaning "posture" or "seat".

Benefits

  1. Stretches front of ankles.
  2. Stretches the knees, hips, quadriceps (front thighs).
  3. Increases spinal flexibility.

Cautions

  • Be careful while doing this pose if you have ankle, knee, hip, quadriceps, spinal cord or neck injuries.
