Gitanandasana

Gitanandasana is an Asana. It is translated as Pose Dedicated to Gitananda from Sanskrit.

The name of this pose comes from "Gitananda" referring to a Hindu Sage", and "asana" meaning "posture" or "seat".


Benefits

  1. It opens the inner back of shoulders and triceps
  2. Promotes spinal flexibility
  3. Stretches the hamstrings and the front of the thighs.


Cautions

  • Be careful while doing this pose if you have any ankle, knee, hip, spinal or shoulder injuries.
