Galavasana

Galavasana[1] is an Asana. It is translated as Pose Dedicated to Galava from Sanskrit. The name of this pose comes from "Galava" referring to sage Galava, and "asana" meaning "posture" or "seat".

Benefits

  1. It stretches the inner thighs and hips
  2. Knees and ankles
  3. Strengthens the wrists
  4. Shoulders
  5. Abdominals and promotes the sense of balance.

Cautions

  • Be careful while doing this pose if you have ankle, knee, hip, shoulder or wrist injuries.
