Supta Konasana

Supta Konasana[1] is an Asana. It is translated as Reclined Angle Pose from Sanskrit.

The name of this pose comes from "supta" meaning "reclined", "kona" meaning "angle", and "asana" meaning "posture" or "seat".

Benefits

  1. It promotes blood flow to the internal organs.
  2. Opens up the inner thigh muscles.
  3. Stretches the back of the neck and upper back.

Cautions

Be careful while doing this pose if you have high blood pressure, neck or spinal injuries, as well as hip or hamstring injuries.
