Hasta Padasana 1 [1] is an Asana. It is translated as Hands to Foot Pose 1 from Sanskrit.

The name of this pose comes from "hasta" meaning "hand", "pada" meaning "foot", and "asana" meaning "posture" or "seat".

Benefits

  1. It strengthens the abdominals and quadraceps
  2. Creates a sense of balance
  3. Stretches the lower back.

Cautions

  • Be careful while doing this pose of you have ankle, knee, hip, lower back injuries.
