Desmostachya bipinnata - Darbha
Desmostachya bipinnata is a tufted perennial grass growing up to 150 cm tall. The plant is gathered from the wild for its culms, which are used medicinally. The plant is also grown as a soil stabilizer. The culms play a role in Hindu ceremonies.
