Paryankasana[1] is an Asana. It is translated as Bed or Couch Pose from Sanskrit.
The name of this pose comes from "paryanka" meaning "bed" or "couch", and "asana" meaning "posture" or "seat".
Benefits
- Stretches front of ankles.
- Stretches the knees, hips, quadriceps (front thighs).
- Increases spinal flexibility.
Cautions
- Be careful while doing this pose if you have ankle, knee, hip, quadriceps, spinal cord or neck injuries.
