The name of this pose comes from "niralamba" meaning "unspupported", "baddha" meaning "bound", "eka" meaning "one", "pada" meaning "foot", "uttana" meaning "intense stretch" and "asana" meaning "posture" or "seat". This pose is a variation of Uttanasana.

Benefits
