Svarga Dvijasana

Svarga Dvijasana is an Asana. It is translated as Bird of Paradise Pose from Sanskrit.

Technique

  1. Begin with Utthita Parsvakonasana / Extended Side Angle Pose on your right side.
  2. Move to Baddha Parsvakonasana / Bound Side Angle Pose.
  3. Lift your left leg off the mat and bring it parallel to your right foot. Keep your feet at hip-width distance.
  4. Shift your weight onto your left foot.
  5. Inhale and lift your right leg up. Straighten your back and balance your body on your left foot.
  6. Slowly straighten your right leg and gaze forward.
  7. Stay in this pose for 3 to 6 long breaths.[1]
