Leptadenia Reticulata is a Botanical name of Jeevani in Sanskrit. It is commonly known in kannada as ಪಾಲತಿಗೆ ಬಳ್ಳಿ, ಬುಗುಡಿ ಹೂವಿನ ಗಡ್ಡೆ, ಸೀಗುಟ ಸೀಹಾಲ್, ಹಾರಂದೊಡೆ.
Plant Description
Jeevani is a vine (ಬಳ್ಳಿ) formed plant commonly gorw on shrubs and pale. It contains yellow mixed brown colored stem as it grow. Heart shaped leaves are oppositely faced to each other. Bottom of the leaves are equally surfaced and flowers are green mixed with yellow colour and seem to be umbrella shape, placed at the tip as a bunch of flowers. Its nut is also oppositly faced in a single drip.

Medicinal Uses
- Alergy – Applying Jeevanti’s root on the skin will help to reduce its itchyness.
- Cough – Consuming Jeevanti roots juice will give a good result in curing cough.
- Jeevanti is also a good food for cattles.
