==How to plant/cultivate==
Persea macrantha (Nees) Kosterm belongs to the family Lauraceae. It is a tree growing up to 30m in length and is mainly distributed in Western peninsula, Ceylon and India etc. In India, the plant is found in various states such as Karnataka, Bihar, Maharashtra and Assam up to an altitude of 2100m.
