Contains volatile oilsAlpha-cyperone (11.0%), flavonoidsmyrtenol (7.9%), apigenincaryophyllene oxide (5.4%) and beta-pinene (5.3%) were major compounds in the oil of sample A. The main constituents of the oil of sample B were beta-pinene (11.3%), luteolinalpha-pinene (10.8%), quercetinalpha-cyperone (7.9%), kaempferol, tiliroside, triterpene glycosides including euscapic acid myrtenol (7.1%) and tormentic acid, phenolic acids, and 3%–21alpha-selinene (6.6% tannins)<ref name="chemical composition"/>
