Phāṇṭa

The drug is powdered first. Four times the quantity of boiling water is added to it and kept for some time. When cooled, it is filtered and used. The Phāṇṭa is the infusion obtained by pouring four times of boiling water on the powdered drug(s) and strained when cooled.[1]
