General Descripition
Lauha kalpanas are preparations of lauha Bhasma as main ingradient added to other drugs.
Method of preparation
The drigs are redicrd to fine powder and mixed with Lauha Bhasma. Bhāvanā is given with prescribed liquids if mentioned. The ingradients of lauha should be converted in the tablet form by added permissible excepients and binding agents if needed.[1]
Characteristics
- The powder should be very fine and the bhasma used should be well prepared.
Preservation
- When well protected from moisture and heat, They keep thair potency for 10 years. Preparations containing or its compounds keep their potency indefinitly.
