Tabernaemontana dichotoma

Tabernaemontana dichotoma is a shrub or a tree usually growing from 2 - 12 metres tall, exceptionally to 20 metres. The bole can be 15 - 30cm in diameter. The plant is sometimes harvested from the wild for local use as a medicine.[1]

Uses

Ulcers, Fistula, Ripen boils, Carbuncles, Centipede bites, Snake bites, Toothache.[2]

Parts Used

Fruits, Leaves.

Chemical Composition

It contains Monoterpenoid indole alkaloid, namely (3R,7S,14R,19S,20R)‐19 hydroxypseudovincadifformine.[3]
