'''Kākajaṅgha''' consists of dried mature seed of Peristrophe bicalyculata (Retz.) Nees (Fam. Acanthaceae), It is an erect hispid herb . It can grows up to 60 to 180 cm tall, . It is found in forests and waste lands almost throughout the country.
