'''Avaleha''' or '''Lehya''' Prapaṭī is a semi-solid rasa preparation . The name is derived from the method by which flakes of drugs, prepared with addition of jaggery, sugar or sugar-candy and boiled with prescribed juices or decoctionthe compound are obtained.

*They preserve their potency indefinitly except śvata Prapaṭi Prapaṭī which retains their potency for two years. It should be kept in glass bottles.<ref name="The Ayurvedic formulary of India"/>
