Muktasana

Muktasana [1] also known as Pavana Muktasana is an Asana. It is translated as Wind Relieving Pose from Sanskrit.

The name of this pose comes from "mukta" meaning "free", and "asana" meaning "posture" or "seat".

Benefits

This pose is restorative and supine (reclining, done on the back). It helps stimulate the internal organs of the torso and open the front of the hip joint.

Cautions

Be careful while doing this pose if you have lower back or hip injuries.
