no edit summary
{{stub}}'''Gnetum montanum''' is an evergreen climbing shrub producing woody twining stems that can be 10 metres or more long. The plant is harvested from the wild for local use as a food, medicine and source of fibre. Most of the ecoregions this species occurs in are threatened. Almost certainly the population is in decline due to habitat destruction and degradation. The plant is classified as 'Least Concern' in the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species(2011).
