The drug consists of dried root of Eleusine corocana (L.) Gaertn. (Fam. Poaceae), '''Finger millet''' is an erect, stout, annual grass, cultivated throughout Indiaplant widely grown as a cereal in the arid areas of Africa and Asia. Finger millet is originally native to the Ethiopian Highlands and Ugandan highlandswas introduced into India approximately 4000 years ago.
