One Legged Crane Pose 1 - Eka Pada Bakasana 1

Eka Pada Bakasana 1 is an Asana. It is translated as One Legged Crane Pose 1 from Sanskrit. The name of this pose comes from "eka" meaning "one", "pada" meaning "foot", "baka" meaning "crane, crow, large bird", and "asana" meaning "posture" or "seat".

Benefits and Cautions

This pose has many benefits: it strengthens wrists, arms and shoulders, promotes sense of balance, strengthens the core, opens the front hips and things.

Be careful white doing this pose if you have wrist, arms, shoulder, spinal or hip injuries. Do not do this pose if pregnant or suffering from severe high blood pressure.
