==How to plant/cultivate==
A plant of the semi-arid tropics and subtropics, it is found growing at elevations from sea level to 1,300 metres. It grows best in areas where the mean annual rainfall is in the range 300 - 400mm.<ref name="How to plant/cultivate"/>
