'''Danti''' is a subshrub in the castor family that can be found growing in humid areas. This species in globally distributed in Indo-Malesia. Within India, it It is distributed throughout from Kashmir eastwards to Meghalaya, up to an elevation of 1000 m. and southwards into Peninsular India, ascending to an altitude of 1800 m. in the Western Ghats.
