Solanum torvum
Solanum torvum is an evergreen, Slender shrub. It will grow upto 1 - 4 metres tall. The stems have Stout, Recurved, Reddish prickles. Prickles are 2.5 - 10mm long and 2 - 10mm wide.

How to plant/cultivate
A plant of the moist tropics, where it is found at elevations up to 1,600 metres. It grows best in areas where annual daytime temperatures are within the range 17 - 29°c, but can tolerate 12 - 35°c. It prefers a mean annual rainfall in the range 1,000 - 2,000mm, but tolerates 700 - 4,200mm. Heavy rainfall discourages fruit set. Succeeds in full sun and in light shade.[4]

Woodland clearings, Thickets, Waste places, Naturalised on open and Moist ground.
