Yoga Sutra 1.31
<blockquote>
दुःखदौर्मनस्याङ्गमेजयत्वश्वासप्रश्वासा विक्षेपसहभुवः ॥३१॥
duḥkha-daurmanasya-aṅgamejayatva-śvāsapraśvāsāḥ vikṣepa sahabhuvaḥ ॥31॥
</blockquote>
#duḥkha: ''pain (mental or physical)''
#daurmanasya: ''sadness, despair, dejection, frustration, depression, anguish''
#aṅgamejayatva: ''shakiness, unsteadiness, tremor of the limbs or body (anga = limbs or body)''
#śvāsapraśvāsāḥ: ''inhalations and exhalations (implying irregular)''
#vikṣepa: ''distractions''
#sahabhuvaḥ: ''accompanying symptom''
:'''Pain, depression, shaking of the body and unrhythmic breathing are the accompanying symptoms of mental distraction.'''
'''Other Obstructions''' - These four obstacles are subtler that arise as a consequence of the nine that are given in the previous sutra. These are also normal at the beginning and easy to notice in case of other person and observe in our own bodies through gestures, body language, pain and moods. Upon realising these mistakes, one can easily go back to practice, and regain consciousness. These obstacles can also arise due to lack of practise, but one can avercome easily with determination and prolong practice of the sadhana.
