How to plant/cultivate
==How to plant/cultivate==
Ginseng has fairly stringent environmental requirements. It requires at least 70 percent shade. The more common species soil must have enough base nutrients (15-20 percent base saturation) to meet its needs, but not so much that the soil pH exceeds 6 (liming is out of Aconitum are generally those cultivated in gardensthe question unless pH is too low). The soil must be moist, especially hybrids. They typically thrive in but well-drained evenly moist garden soils like the related hellebores and delphiniums. To achieve this, and can grow in the shade of treesorganic matter content has to be pretty high.<ref name="How to plant/cultivate"/>
