Shri. D Veerendra Heggade
Shri. D Veerendra Heggade is a philanthropist and the Dharmadhikari of the Dharmasthala Temple. He succeeded to the post at the age of 20. He administers the temple and its properties , Which are held in trust for the benefits of devotees and of Dharma. He was awarded the Padma Bhushana award for social work and communal Harmony, Padma Vibhushan in 2015 by the government of India for social work and karnataka Ratna for the year 2009, the highest civilian award in Karnataka.
