Alkaloids-berberine, palmitine, jatrorrhizine, proto-berberne, N-dilindacarpine, thalifendine and columbamine. The stems and roots of Kalambaka contain alkaloids including berberine. 3.5–5% and jatorrhizine. Stems contain ceryl palmitic acid and oleic acid [1]
