Method of preparation
- Take all ingredients of pharmacopoeial quality.
- Wash and dry all the herbal raw materials thoroughly.
- Treat Tila taila to prepare Mūrchita Taila (Appendix 6.2.8.3).
- Pulverize the dried ingredients numbered 1to 3 (kvātha dravya) to a coarse powder and add the specified quantity of water, heat and reduce the volume to one fourth. *Filter with muslin cloth to obtain kvātha[1]
Description
- A medicated oil, dark reddish brown in color with pleasant odour.
Storage
- Store in a cool place in tightly closed containers, protected from light and moisture.
Therapeutic uses
- In conditions of Vāta-rakta (Gout) and Raktagata-Vāta (Hypertension), Śopha (oedema), Skandhagata Vāta (frozen shoulder).
Dose
- External application for Abhyanga.
