Kottamcukkaadi Taila is a liquid preparation made with the ingredients in the Formulation composition given below with Tila Taila as the basic ingredient
Formulation composition
Method of preparation
- Take all ingredients of pharmacopoeial quality.
- Wash and dry all the herbal raw materials except ingredient 12 thoroughly.
- Treat Tila taila to prepare Mūrchita Taila (Appendix 6.2.8.3).
- Collect fresh leaves of ingredient number 12, wash thoroughly, grind and express svarasa through muslin cloth.[1]
Description
- A medicated oil, colour reddish brown, odour faint.
Storage
- Store in a cool place in tightly closed containers, protected from light and moisture.
Therapeutic uses
- Āmavāta (Rheumatism), Vāta roga (disorders due to Vāta dosha) and Angastambha (stiffness of body), External application for Abhyanga.
Dose
- 3 to 5 g daily in divided doses.
