Kalyānākaleha is a semisolid preparation made with the ingredients of the Formulation composition given below.
Formulation composition
Method of preparation
- Take all ingredients of pharmacopoeial quality.
- Clean, dry and powder the ingredients numbered 1 to 9 separately and pass through sieve number 85. Mix all the ingredients thoroughly.
- Add Sarpi (Gogh¨ta) to the mixture, stir thoroughly to form a semisolid mass.
- Pack it in tightly closed containers to protect from light and moisture.[1]
Description
- Semisolid paste, yellowish-brown in color with pungent odour, astringent and salty taste
Storage
- Store in a cool place in tightly closed containers, protected from light and moisture.
Therapeutic uses
- Svarabheda (hoarseness of voice), Mūkatā (Aphasia).
Dose
- 12 g daily in divided doses.

- Water.
