Method of preparation

  • Take all the ingredients of pharmacopoeial quality.
  • Treat mandura to prepare mandura bhasma.
  • Wash, clean, dry the ingredients numbered 1 to 15 of the formulation composition, powder separately and pass through 180 µm I. S. sieve(sieve number 85) to obtain fine powder and mix them all to a homogeneous mixture.
  • Strain Gomutra through muslin cloth.[1]

Description

  • Reddish brown coloured tablet with the characteristic odour of Gomutra.

Storage

  • Store in a cool place in tightly closed containers, protect from light and moisture.

Therapeutic uses

  • Pandu Roga (anaemia), Grahani (malabsorption syndrome), shotha (inflammation), Pliha Roga (splenic disease), Vishamajvara (intermittent fever), Arsa (haemorrhoids), Kustha (diseases of skin), Krmi (helminthiasis/worm infestation).

Dose

  • 1 to 2 g per day in divided doses.
