This mudra is in honour of shakti, the goddess of life energy. This mudra brings relaxation to the pelvic region.
Contents
Formation
Place thumb of each hand in the middle of the palm and bend the index and middle fingers on the thumbs loosely. Join the little finger and ring finger of each hand to the corresponding finger of the other hand.
Effects
There is a calming effect on the pelvic region because of the bent thumbs, index and middle fingers.
Benefits
- Creates a pleasant relaxation in the pelvic region.
- Counteracts spasms in the intestines and menstrual pains.
- Relieves prostate gland poblems.
- Increases the depth of respiration in the lower chest area.
- Helps fall asleep at night.
- Slow urination is rectified.[1]
