Rehmannia glutinosa

Rehmannia glutinosa is one of the 50 fundamental herbs and it is used in traditional Chinese medicine, where it has the name Sheng Di huang.

Uses

kidney problems, adrenal glands, Rheumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia, asthma, hypertension, menopause, impotence, hair loss

Parts Used

Dried root, Fresh root, Prepared root.

Chemical Composition

Hydroxymethyl-pyrrole-2-carbaldehyde, 5-hydroxymethyl furfural, tyrosol, 5,6-dihydroxy-beta-ionone, 6-O-E-feruloyl ajugol, acteoside, leucosceptoside, martynoside, isomartynoside, purpureaside, jionoside and jionoside[1]
