Ecdysterone, an insect moulting hormonebetaine, and long chain alcohols are also found in Achyranthes aspera Other chemical constituents such as achyranthine, betaine, pentatriaontane, 6-pentatriacontanone, hexatriacontanehentriacontane, ecdysterone and tritriacontane are also presenttwo glycosides of oleanolic acid.
