Chemical Composition

The leaves contain a very small amount of an amorphous alkaloid. They also contain beta-sitosterol, hentriacontanone, hentriacontanol and quercetin-3-rhamnoside and hydrocarbons. The bark gives an alkaloid, actinodaphnine. [1]
