Easily grown in most soilsZornia latifolia plant of the subtropical to tropical zones, preferring a calcareous soil. Thrives in a dry lightly shaded positionwhere it is found at elevations up to 1, though it prefers full sun000 metres.Plants usually self-sow quite freely when growing It grows best in a suitable position. The seeds areas where annual daytime temperatures are contained in burrs that can easily attach themselves to clothing or animal's furwithin the range 18 - 29°c, thus transporting them to a new area where they but can germinate and growtolerate 13 - 34°c.The cultivar 'Sweet scented' is popular in France for making tea because the whole plant is sweet scented and the flowers have a spicy apricot-like fragrance<ref name="How to plant/cultivate"/>
