Plants reach Sutherlandia frutescens is a small bush growing up to about 3 m height with 31m high.5 cm stem diameter in 2 yearsIt is native to dry parts of southern Africa, in 4 years about 5 m height and 7 cm stem diameterpreferring full sun but tolerant of a wide variety of soil types. Flowering and fruiting It is almost throughout the yeara tough plant, but in India there are usually two main flowering periodshardy, one in the early monsoon fast growing and another in the late monsoon.drought tolerant but short lived<ref name="How to plant/cultivate"/>
