Or by devotion to the Lord (asamprajnata samadhi can be attained).

Or by devotion to Ishwara - If an aspirant realizes that he is not capable of going through the stages of faith, energy, memory, etc., then he can have another way to attain samadhi, i.e. complete devotion to the Lord, the path is also known as Bhakti Marg or Yoga.

There are many devotees who lack the necessary faculties to put required intense effort either physically or mentally or both. For them or even anyone can opt this path of devotion by completely surrendering to the Lord, without any desire from life and the material world. He or she has to place his or her awareness, mind, thought and consciousness into Ishwara only. But before that one needs to have a clear idea of God first, above religion.
