Method of preparation

  • Take all ingredients of pharmacopoeial quality.
  • Wash and dry all the herbal raw materials except ingredient 12 thoroughly.
  • Treat Tila taila to prepare Mūrchita Taila.
  • Collect fresh leaves of ingredient number 12, wash thoroughly, grind and express svarasa through muslin cloth.[1]

Description

  • A medicated oil, colour reddish brown, odour faint.

Storage

  • Store in a cool place in tightly closed containers, protected from light and moisture.

Therapeutic uses

  • Āmavāta (Rheumatism), Vāta roga (Disorders due to vata dosha) and Angastambha (Stiffness of body), External application for Abhyanga.

Dose

  • 3 to 5 g daily in divided doses.
