Gardenia gummifera

Gardenia gummifera is a shrub or small deciduous tree. The plant is harvested from the wild for its gum-resin, which is used locally and traded. The plant remains fairly common but is sparsely distributed, It is classified as 'Least Concern' in the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species(2011). It is small decidious tree with yellow resin.
