Crotalaria verrucosa is an erect or spreading, much-branched plant. It grows upto 50 - 100cm tall. The plant is harvested from the wild for local use as a medicine. It is sometimes grown as a green manure and is a potential ornamental.

Chemical Composition

Taraxerol, beta-sitosterol and linoleic, palmitic, stearic, lauric, oleic, linolenic, arachidic, myristic and ricinoleic acids have been isolated from fixed oil of the stem. [2]
