Ruta chalepensis

Ruta chalepensis is an evergreen shrub that can grow up to 0.75 metres tall. It is harvested from the wild for local use as a food, medicine and source of materials.

Uses

Paralysis, Coughs, Stomach aches, Earache.[1]

How to plant/cultivate

Succeeds in any good open soil. This species is not hardy in the colder areas of the country, it tolerates temperatures down to between -5 and -10°c.[6]
