Scholar Tree is an elegant evergreen tree, found in most parts of India. The species name scholaris refers to the fact that the timber of this tree has traditionally been used to make wooden slates for school children.

Uses

Fevers, Chronic diarrhea, Dysentery, Ulcers, Rheumatic pains, Cancer, Malaria.

Leaves.

How to plant/cultivate

Succeeding in reasonably moist lowland tropical and subtropical areas, it is found at elevations from sea level to around 900 metres.[2]
