'''Pterocaulon sphacelatum''' is a species of flowering plant in the Asteraceae family. It is found only in Australia, where it is known as "Fruit-salad Plant" or "Applebush", as well as other Aboriginal names.

== Description ==

Its natural habitat is subtropical dry continental grasslands. It is a 20–120 cm self–seeding biennial forb. It has spherical pinkish flowerheads. This plant is relatively common in Alice Springs.<ref name="des"/>

The "Applebush" is an aromatic plant is used in Australian Aboriginal medicine.<ref name="uses"/>
